POSITION SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Finance Manager Staff Accountant will also work closely with the Branch Manager to prepare various financial reports, including presentations for the Leadership Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist Management team in analyzing variance and profitability vs budget by job and by month

  2. Liaise with insurance agents for insurance certificates

  3. Process accounts payable verification, coding, and uploading for the branch

  4. Prepare monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation

  5. Assist Finance Manager on month end process, including reports and analysis

  6. Coordinate bi-weekly payroll for branch

  7. Assist Finance Manager in business license compliance

  8. Prepares requests for Certificates of Insurance

  9. AR collections for branch

  10. Prelien preparation and management for all jobs for branch

  11. Assist Management in other duties as assigned

Qualification REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

At least a 2-year degree; Bachelor’s in Finance or Business Administration preferred; Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in accounting and/or finance, preferably in the construction industry.
