SafeWorks, LLC is the global leader in powered suspended access solutions for commercial construction, elevator, infrastructure, power generation, offshore and wind energy markets. Since the introduction of the original Spider work basket in 1947, we have been designing, manufacturing, distributing and services suspended scaffolding and fall protection solutions to end users and through equipment dealers under the Spider, Power Climber, Power Climber Wind and DualLift brands. Our growing company is looking for a talented results-driven Sr. Manager/Sourcing Leader, with excellent negotiation skills and category management skills, to purchase materials and services to support global manufacturing and branch operations. We are looking for someone from the Greater Seattle Area, Houston, or Atlanta.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the company's goals, ensuring the supply chain supports business objectives while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of supply chain strategies, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials while optimizing costs.

  • Drive operational excellence initiatives, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain performance.

  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop robust contingency plans to mitigate disruptions, ensuring continuity of operations.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.

  • Purchase the highest quality merchandise, machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary at the lowest price and in correct amounts to meet manufacturing and branch operational needs.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of 10+ years in progressively responsible supply chain management roles within the manufacturing or related industry.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, including managing in a globally dispersed matrix organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, inventory management, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

  • Demonstrated success in implementing supply chain strategies that resulted in cost savings, improved efficiency, and enhanced customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.

  • Very strong negotiation, interpersonal and problem resolution skills.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment.

  • Strong project and time management skills.

  • Work well under pressure and must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.

  • Experience with both standard and custom production practices.

  • A “Can-Do” attitude approach to any challenge.

  • Able to communicate clearly with all levels in the organization.

  • Understanding of best practices in strategic, sourcing, process/supplier implementation and change management.

  • Good team player with integrity and leadership ability.
