SUMMARY

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer provides design and application engineering for access to elevated structures using suspended scaffolding and support equipment as well as material handling and hoisting equipment.

Must possess strong mechanical design skills in system level application engineering, custom design and manufacturing, technical knowledge and project management skills. Must have solid a track record of project management and experience working with cross functional teams including sales and manufacturing and interfacing with customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Systems engineering application projects including both application of standard products and design of custom equipment for projects from concept through execution.

  • Responsibility for engineering project applications from bidding concept phase through job execution.

  • Creating drawings and calculations packages as required to support project approval.

  • Development of complete system designs and/or individual components or subsystems.

  • Manage drafting/designer resource in the creation of engineered drawings and other supporting documentation as required for the project.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering Required

  • PE License

  • Minimum 7 year’s experience as an engineer

  • Solid project management skills

  • Strong computer skills including AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Some FEA capabilities a plus

  • Strong mechanical/structural design skills

  • Familiar with reading drawings; architectural and structural drawing familiarity a plus

  • Experience with code compliance design; OSHA, UL, ASME, etc.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, MS Office proficiency, able to provide written reports and give professional presentations

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Enthusiasm for working in a technically demanding, and exciting environment

  • Strong work ethic and team player attributes
