The Regional Manager is responsible for the oversight of all business functions within a geographical region including employees and equipment used in the installation of cathodic protection systems. The Regional Manager is responsible to make operational and business decisions to help define and to meet revenue targets, control costs, develop and maintain a client base and to participate in business development. This position has direct management of all project managers, field supervisors. Safety is first and foremost in all activities; this position is responsible for insuring employees maintain a safe work environment at each job site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a key customer contact, resolves all concerns and maintains positive business relationships with current clients ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
Provides guidance to the development of a production process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
Responsible for the efficient use of equipment, facilities and personnel to maximize production. Makes adjustments as required.
Effectively leads and mentors staff to ensure development of personnel management skills and productive approaches that build teamwork and common goals in a respectful environment.
Directs the hiring, and project staffing with a focus on development and retention of employees by establishing performance goals, developing job skills, recognizing performance and promoting diversity.
Directs requisitions for equipment, materials and supplies to ensure they are within limits of project or division budgets and field operations are maintained at maximum efficiency.
Enforces compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations.
Track and manage profit / loss, backlog projections, target projections, expected capital expenditures. Provide reporting as required.
Conducts personnel reviews, oversees the career planning and employee development for direct reports in the work group Conducts personnel interviews and is involved in hiring and promotional opportunity decisions for direct reports.
Train, educate, develop filed construction personnel on proper execution of projects.
Evaluate job set up folders for proper materials and equipment before mobilization to job site.
Ensure crews are well equipped, well trained and prepared to do the job.
Provide technical advice on the suitability of proposed drilling methods to achieve project objectives.
Ensure construction crews set up the sites in a safe and efficient manner. SAFETY FIRST
8 plus years of experience with cathodic protection installation processes, specific technical knowledge of air rotary and mud drilling.
Experienced in job management
Strong commitment to achieving zero accidents and citations
Good communication skills and problem-solving skills
Experience with computer software (MS Office suite)
NACE certification CP2 (Preferred)
Strong understanding of DOT regulations
Understanding of Operator Qualification Compliance processes
Required to drive/travel to project and client sites
Required to carry a cell phone, and subject to 24/7 call out
Incumbent is subject working extended hours required in emergencies, on projects, or outages
- Must be able to travel and stay near job sites for 2 weeks at a time
