HR Systems Support Director


BrandSafway is searching for an energetic, passionate, creative builder to design and implement a comprehensive global strategy for Human Resources systems support, which includes Workday as well as legacy applications (UltiPro; Ceridian DayForce; etc). Essential Duties

  • Design the HR systems support strategy.

  • Take ownership and transform the way we support and service legacy HR system users and functional stakeholders (Payroll; Finance; IT; business leaders).

  • Design and own our future Workday support model from the ground up.

  • Build a roadmap for case and knowledge management technology.

  • Infuse a culture of delightful employee experiences into HR support team(s) and support strategies.

  • Identify current service gaps, develop solutions, and prioritize delivery of those solutions.

  • Build close relationships with other corporate support leaders and team members (IT, Payroll, Finance, etc.) to design and implement new, truly enterprise-class ways of working and solutions.

  • Leadership: lead cross-functional teams, foresee new opportunities, and succeed against uncertainty. In partnership with other people leaders, you’ll guide, mentor, and lead underperforming team members to a better place – whether in their current role or not.

  • Technology: expert experience and comfort with enterprise collaboration tools (Office 365; Microsoft Teams); experience managing Workday; experience

  • Adaptability: navigate and thrive in an environment that is rapidly maturing several co-dependent corporate functions.

  • Innovative Problem Solving: your solutions should be innovative and unafraid to take time up front to establish solid foundations for the future (read: avoid band-aids wherever possible). Use routine responses to daily issues as an opportunity to build a better foundation over time.

  • Technology: employ modern technology in your solutions, quickly learn relevant HR and enterprise systems, and help maximize the use of existing tools that fit our ideal state.

  • Communication: all of your written and verbal communications are excellent -- clear, concise, and purposefully helpful to the team’s success.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required; Master’s degree in HR or related business field is preferred.

  • Experience: Required 10+ years in HR services, HR operations, or related function.

  • Experience: Required 5+ years in HR transformation role(s).

  • Experience: HR and technology project management experience strongly preferred.

  • Travel: Required ability to travel up to 50% when appropriate for projects or team management.

  • Hours: reasonable flexibility with working hours to meet project demands and collaborate with global colleagues. Team members may be located in several time zones.
