Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION : Project Controls Specialist. This is a highly-tactical, operations support role This individual will focus on project setup and rollout, operational analytics and driving site-level productivity. As a corporate asset, the PC Specialist is deployable anywhere, globally, to best support the business needs of our company. The position will report to Corporate Project Controls and will spend half the time in the field supporting project setup, rollout for standard work and analytics that drive project productivity.

  • Support operations to identify and mitigate project risk and reduce labor, material and other administrative cost

  • Work in tandem with project managers to execute and ensure compliance with customer contracts

  • Support weekly site reviews, monthly operating reviews(MOR) and other operational meetings

  • Track typical project items such as delays, change order management, purchase order management, earned value, cost drivers, and other productivity metrics

  • Provide direct support for development of detailed estimates and bids

  • Support the bid and contract review processes, risk and opportunity assessments and project productivity reviews

  • Conduct analyses of cost and productivity data to provide actionable information to operational leaders

Education and/or Experience

  • 2 years relevant industry experience(construction services, manufacturing, petrochemical, refinery, power)

  • Operational/field experience in the construction, manufacturing or other industrial environments, with a proven understanding of productivity drivers

  • Significant experience operating in team environments

  • Must be able to take a large amount of data and information(big ideas/strategy) and present in concise terms in order to support project execution

  • Must be able to travel for extensive periods of time, including international where necessary(30% -50%)

Travel throughout assigned geography 50% or more. The team member will regularly drive up to 4-6 hours per day, and occasional air travel.
