We currently have an exciting opportunity for a STS Systems Coordinator located in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This position is responsible for establishing a control center for policies / procedures regarding the handling of data and is the main point of contact for questions or issues related to information systems.

Role will include but is not limited to the following:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues with timesheets, scaffold managers, material managers, reconciliation tools, attendance files, force reports, and swipe reports

  • User account management for the Safway Tracking System and SAP BusinessObjects

  • Create and modify business intelligence reports in SAP BusinessObjects

  • Provide training for the Safway Tracking System and SAP BusinessObjects as required

  • Database cleanup / organization as required

  • Compile and report statistical information as required

  • Communicate any issues that can’t be resolved internally with Safway IT

  • Communicate system process changes to supervisors for implementation

  • Provide technical expertise for computer related questions or issues

  • Develop Excel tools to increase accuracy and efficiency of office related tasks

  • Coordinate, implement, and improve overall operational practices and procedures in collaboration with staff

  • Develop and update process flow charts

  • Develop and update organizational structure charts

  • Develop and update training manuals

  • Create and modify forms as requested

Qualification requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio

  • Familiar with Excel based Visual Basic programming

  • Familiar with Adobe Acrobat Professional

  • Able to create reports using business intelligence software

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills

  • Able to work under pressure with strong attention to detail

  • Strong leadership abilities to inspire employees to accomplish strategic goals

  • Familiar with aspects of planning, execution, payroll, billing, and reconciliation

  • 5 years of experience working in an office environment

  • Experience with databases and reporting software

  • Experience working in the construction industry is preferred

  • Undergraduate degree is an asset
