We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator based out of our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this position will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Completes data entry of all non-union hourly and SG&A employee information in to UltiPro system. This consists of new hires, promotions, salary changes, terminations, etc.

  • Ensures timely processing of all information to align with the weekly and bi-weekly payroll schedules. Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered.

  • Collaborates and coordinates across HR functional areas to ensure transactional processes comply with policies and procedures, and that appropriate approvals have been obtained.

  • Establish and maintain documentation, procedures and policies related to the administration of the system.

  • Train employees on the self-service functionality within the system. This may require occasional travel.

  • Coordinate with Human Resources Director and our parent company in Kennesaw on any issues related to system use and/or format changes required in UltiPro.

  • Setting up new user security and conducting routine review of user access in UltiPro.

  • Conduct audits routinely to verify the integrity of the data in the UltiPro system.

  • Responsible for conducting all new hire orientations for all non-union hourly and SG&A individuals commencing within the Corporate or Regional Offices located throughout Canada.

  • Will establish and maintain documentation related to the new hire packages for the non union hourly and SG&A population.

  • Manages the Educational Assistance Program for Canadian Operations - Ensuring communications about the program are sent to employees, tracking of approved educational assistance requests and reimbursements are processed.

  • Managing Service Award Program – Tracking of employee milestones, preparing service award for distribution to the appropriate branches throughout Canada.

  • Maintain the Ineligible for Hire List and work with sites to obtain all necessary documentation for employee records.

  • Maintaining the master employee files and the HR filing system

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration

  • Prior experience working within an HR environment and within an HRIS system is preferred

  • Previous experience with UltiPro will be considered an asset

  • Experience with query/report writing required

  • Individual must have a proven ability to manage and thrive in an environment of constant change

  • Teamwork – proven ability establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with internal and external clients

  • A “can do” attitude coupled with exceptional organizational and communication skills;

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a responsible and accurate manner

  • Experience creating and maintaining end-user documentation preferred
