Job Description

We are currently seeking a Multi-Branch Controller in Boston, MA within our team of experienced professionals. The right candidate willwork closely with Region Accounting and have the necessary computer knowledge to conductanalysis and continuous assessment of proper accounting policy and procedures.

The Multi-Branch Controller performs a variety of office and financial tasks, which may include management of employees, to support office operations and to maximize branch revenue and profitability.

JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Perform accounting activities such as reviewing financial statements, general ledger comparison, preparing periodic operating reports, and administering job costing procedures and job costing analysis; Understand profitability of specific jobs/projects and provide monthly recommendation for accrual/deferral.

  • Review and analyze monthly financial and operating reports and report findings back to the Branch Manager, Regional and Corporate.

  • Assist in Billing and AR activities including credit approval, reviewing credit information and addressing credit issues, AP activities to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors, and payroll processing activities to ensure the accurate and timely payment for all time worked.

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with Accounting chart of accounts.

  • Recommend and monitor benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.

  • Participate in Annual Operating Plan(AOP) and forecasting.

  • Provide financial analyses as needed and audit data as requested.

  • Provide financial variance analyses as needed and audit data as requested.

  • Responsible for AIA billing associated with the Hoist Division operation and track operator hours for monthly payments.

  • Complete Appropriation requests for branches as required.

  • Travel 25%(to branches).

  • Assist with the yearly inventory process for all branches.

  • Gain a detailed understanding of products, customers, competitors and market.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education

  • 4 year degree in business, finance, management, or related field

  • MBA and/or CPA a plus

Experience

  • Minimum eight years of accounting/finance related experience

Experience in the construction industry preferable

Computer Skills

  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Must have experience creating complex financial spreadsheets and experience creating pivot tables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
