The IT Applications Senior Developer will have an active role providing IT support for projects identified by management as critical to improving the performance of the company. The candidate will interface with operations (field staff) and corporate leadership, to deliver IT solutions that are robust and scalable. This is both a technical position that will involve a degree of design, programming, report writing, and database management and a functional position that will integrate with the business functions to develop Business Intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support ERP financial software application to ensure maximum up times are maintained.

  • Provide support of applications and internal customers.

  • Manage trouble tickets and provide a temporary solution if a permanent solution is not available in a reasonable amount of time.

  • Follow up with customers of open tickets that have exceeded acceptable time frame.

  • Code enhancements and bug-fixes based on project requirements in an acceptable time frame.

  • Code in accordance with best practices of software development.

  • Technical support of assigned application, includes 2nd level end-user support.

  • Build projects to specification, timescale and quality.

  • Perform some integration work with current systems.

  • Document all work carried out in the required formats

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in programming in ProvideX or BBx on Linux or Unix platforms, including GUI development.

  • Experience with Linux, ftp, sftp, SSH key authentication, PGP encryption a plus.

  • Experienced with Financial Accounting and Payroll Software highly desirable.

  • MS SQL, ODBC Data Source Administration.

  • Data conversion skills, ability to generate data into and out of ERP system in variety of formats.

  • Experience with use of a trouble ticketing system.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with preferred concentration in Business or Computer Science

  • 4+ years of current proficiency in ProvideX and BBx languages.

  • Exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize cross-functional high-performance teams
